Not a retreat. A dig.

You haven’t lost your Joy. It got buried under the trappings of your own success – the optimized calendar, the performed competence, the wants you edited before they reached your own mouth. Anything buried can be raised. That is the work of these three days.

Be clear about what this is. This is not a rest weekend. There is rest in it – deep, protected, deliberate, non-negotiable rest – but the work between is active and, at moments, strenuous. You will say true things out loud in a circle of twelve. You will sit in extended guided descents longer than feels ordinary. You will grieve some things. Some of what surfaces will surprise you. People laugh in this room, and people cry in it, sometimes in the same hour. It can get noisy before it gets quiet.

And be clear about what holds you. The container is calm so the work doesn’t have to be. Two guides with over twenty-five years of holding this exact terrain together. A circle small enough that no one disappears. Consent at every threshold – an absolute right to pass on any single exercise, no questions, no cost. Rest built into the schedule like a beam, not a cushion. You will not be pushed. You will be accompanied, exactly as far as you choose to go.

The three days

  • Excavate – arrive, unarm, and locate your specific trappings. The evening ends at the fire circle: one unedited want, spoken aloud, witnessed only.
  • Contact – the deep day. Extended guided descents into the ground state. The day people describe for years, and the reason the rest of the schedule is so quiet.
  • Rise – re-chart the real life: the calendar, the decisions, the one courageous conversation. You leave with a thirty-day plan and twelve witnesses to it.

What comes with it

  • Three days and two nights in residence, in Maine
  • A circle of no more than twelve, held by two guides
  • Extended guided descents into the ground state
  • A thirty-day charted plan, held by two group calls

Who the twelve seats are for

You’ve genuinely succeeded, and quietly suspect the summit is not the point. You’re willing to be a beginner for three days. You can tell the truth in a room of twelve. That last one is the only real prerequisite – everything else, we handle.

This is not the room if you’re seeking career tactics, or if you’re in acute crisis. Crisis deserves clinical care first – write to us anyway, and we’ll help you find it.

Begin

Seats are by application and a twenty-minute conversation with Elz – a conversation, not a funnel. Write to us: elz@ajoyfuluprising.com, subject line The Uprising. Tell us, in a few honest lines, what’s true on an ordinary Tuesday.
