Twelve weeks, one steady flame.

A small, seasonal cohort for spiritually-centered professionals ready to re-root their practice in devotion rather than performance. Weekly gatherings, a private field of correspondence, and one month of silent tending at the close.

Success is loud. Your practice went quiet.

Your spiritual life is real – it may be older than your career, and for a long time it quietly ordered everything. But success is hungry. Somewhere along the years, the practice got squeezed into the calendar’s leftover corners, or demoted to a productivity tool, or feeling somehow performed – for the feed, for an identity, for the subtlest audience of all: the watched self. Some seasons, it simply stopped.

This is not a crisis of faith, exactly. It’s quieter than that. The longing is intact – that’s why you’re reading this page. The flame just hasn’t been tended in a long time, and you know the difference, even when no one else can see it.

The Steady Flame is twelve weeks of tending the fire that burns for no one else but you.

The shape of it

Three movements, four weeks each, following the season down. Unmasking – naming, without shame, how serving became showing, and grieving what dried up. Re-rooting – returning to practice with no audience and no outcome; building a private altar that will never be taught, posted, or shared. Tending – carrying the flame back into the working life: working from overflow, an honest week, a rule of life you can actually keep.

Then, in December, the part no other program will offer you: a month of silence, held in writing. No gatherings. Daily practice, the candle lit, and letters – ours to the field each week, yours whenever you’re moved, one written reply mid-month, and a personal closing letter from us both as the light returns. The fire, banked and kept through the darkest weeks of the year.

What comes with it

  • Twelve weekly live group gatherings – one evening, on Zoom, held constant, ninety minutes
  • A curated reader, printed and mailed, and an audio field guide of guided practices – one of each per week
  • A tended community of no more than twenty, held in a private field of correspondence – letters, not feeds
  • One month of silence, held in writing – and a candle, sent to your door, lit at every gathering and every sitting
The season

Twelve gatherings, September through November. The silent month, December. Closing letters and an optional in-person candlelit return circle in early January.

One weekday evening, online, held constant for all twelve weeks. Dates announced with the cohort.

What it costs

Three tiers, self-selected, identical in every element. The tier buys nothing extra – it only reflects means. We trust you to choose truly.

Supported – $950 (for those in a lean season; no questions asked)
Sustaining – $1,450 (the true cost of a seat)
Sustaining another – $1,950 (your seat, and help holding a supported one)

($300 deposit due upon enrollment into program; payment plans available)

Who it’s for

Professionals from any field – executives, founders, physicians, attorneys, educators, artists, nonprofit leaders – who name their life as spiritually based or centered, and whose practice has thinned beneath their success. Every sincere tradition is welcome, and so is no tradition in particular. All are welcome. What’s required: openness to a daily practice you’re willing to keep, and the willingness to write.

Begin with a letter

There is no application form. Write us a letter – a real one – about the current state of your flame: what dried, what still burns, why this season. We read every letter, and we answer every letter.
