A Joyful Uprising began the way most true things do – quietly, in a room no one was watching. It was born of a growing discomfort with what the spiritual-professional world had become: louder, faster, thinner. More performance than practice.
This is a home for the other kind of professional. The one who feels the pull of the deeper work and knows, in their marrow, that it cannot be rushed. The one who wants a community of Joy. The one who wants to stop marketing their soul.
What we offer is small on purpose – a philosophy, a seasonal immersion, a journal of slow letters. Everything here is made by hand, at the pace of Be-ing. If that is your pace, welcome.

Elz has spent her whole working life doing two things at once: guiding people back to themselves, and helping organizations align with the truth of their mission. Her healing work – energy work, equine-assisted therapy, heart-flowering workshops – has run quietly through every role she’s held. Mahaal has been walking this path since before he had names for it. A teacher, meditator, and consultant, he speaks from what he’s lived, not from theory – and he refuses the false split between consciousness and results. In a room, he’s the one who holds the silence until something real surfaces. His work has one aim, held without apology: an end to human suffering, and lives lived with a fuller sense of purpose, inside and out.
